For me, an adventure consists of a combination of three major things, firstly an adventure needs some sort of action. For example, traveling the skies in a hot air balloon. Secondly, an adventure involves the landscape in some way. Perhaps there is a mountain looming in the distance of the adventurer in the hot air balloon. The third and final thing I think an adventure needs is a sense of wonder or anticipation, a light on the horizon that the adventurer is clearly about to discover. When approaching a tentative project that would have been a mural on the walls of a library, this is the thought process I had. Despite the final abstract iterations not being representational of the initial idea, I found that my journey itself to these final images was the adventure.
